The primary difference between the Juki DDL-9000C Premium Digital (FMS/FDS/FSH) and the Digital (SMS/SSH) versions is the level of automation for tension and pressure.
While both feature digital feed mechanisms, the Premium Digital version provides a "Full Digital" experience by automating settings that must be manually adjusted via springs on the standard Digital model.

Active Tension & Pressure: The Premium Digital version is unique because it eliminates the need for manual tension and pressure adjustments. It uses a sensor to detect changes in material thickness and automatically adjusts the needle thread tension and presser foot pressure in real-time to prevent "clogged" stitches.

Intuitive Interface: The Premium Digital model features a smartphone-like color touch screen that allows you to save specific sewing "profiles". For example, you can instantly switch from heavy jacket settings to light blouse settings with one touch.

Thread Trimming: Both models utilize a double-edge rotary system for trimming, leaving a short remaining thread of approximately 3mm.

Lubrication: Both versions are typically Semi-Dry, meaning the needle bar area is oil-free to prevent fabric staining, while a small reservoir supplies oil only to the hook.
- DDL-9000C series is a world first vertically and horizontally driven digital feed mechanism which can be adjusted with ease according to the material fabric of product to be sewn, thereby improving seam quality.
- In DDL-9000C series, the needle tension and the presser foot pressure is digitally controlled.
- The multi-layered section detection function is able to detect the changes in material thickness to increase or decrease the presser foot pressure accordingly.
- The remaining thread at the end of sewing greatly reduced to 3mm.
- Management, browsing and editing of data can be carried out on the application software .

Digitalized control panel
Digitalized control panel has two different mode: Premium Digital Type and Digital Type
LED light
The LED light illuminates the needle entry area in the just-under direction from the right and left sides of the needle bar. In comparison with the single-direction illumination, this LED light helps the operator carry out sewing more easily. Illuminance of the LED light is adjustable in five levels. It can also be used as an auxiliary lamp for working.
