How to Use:

1. Cut the end of the bias tape diagonally and insert it into the binder foot.
2. Push the tape towards the needle hole using a needle or stiletto.

Installation & Usage of Binder Foot

The binding around the edge of your quilt is what gives it that final, professional finish. But stitching down a strip of bias tape while it encloses all those bulky layers can seem like a daunting task.

Here's where you want to use the Quilt Binder Set. There's a model for the MC12000 and one that fits most other Memory Craft machines.

The cone on the front of the fabric holder neatly feeds and folds your bias tape for a half inch finished binding.

How to Use the Quilt Binder Set:

1. Prepare the Quilt: Begin by basting your quilt edges to prepare them for binding.
2. Attach the Binder Plate: Remove the bobbin case cover and attach the binder plate to the machine’s bed.
3. Install the Foot: Attach the binder foot and select a straight stitch.
4. Mount the Feeding Attachment: Adjust the needle drop position for accuracy.
5. Load the Binding Tape: Cut the end of your binding tape at a 45˚ angle and load it into the folding mechanism. Tweezers can be useful for guiding the tape.
6. Guide the Quilt Sandwich: Start sewing from the middle of one side, guiding the quilt into the binding tape. Make adjustments to the needle position as needed.
7. Sew Corners: At each corner, take one stitch beyond the quilt, lift the foot, and finger press the binding. Create a miter fold at the corner for a smooth transition, then continue stitching.
8. Complete the Binding: Repeat the process on all sides and corners. Once finished, join the ends of the binding as desired for a perfect finish.
