Shirring / Ruffling foot
The shirring foot is used to join two layers of fabric and gather the lower layer at a ratio of 2:1 in one go. Increasing the differential feed and stitch length will gather the fabric even more.

- Raise the presser foot lever . Raise the needles to the highest position, push the presser foot release button located at the back of the presser foot holder .
- Remove the foot .
- Raise the presser foot lever . raise the needles to the highest position , place the foot under the presser foot holder aligning the bar of the foot with the groove in the holder . lower the presser foot lifter to snap it back into place .
