How to Use the Collarette Binder

  1. With the wrong side of the fabric facing you, feed the binding strip through the serpentine fabric guide and into the binder.
  2. Cut the leading end of the strip at an angle to make feeding easier.
  3. Place the excess fabric strip to the right side of the machine and ensure it remains free of tangles.
  4. Keep the strip flat while feeding to allow the binder to fold the edges correctly.
  5. Pull the folded strip from the binder outlet and pivot it 90° under the presser foot.
  6. Ensure the binding remains properly folded when positioned beneath the foot.
  7. Feed the project edge into the folded binding from the left side of the attachment and begin sewing.
