Round Knife Fabric Cutting Machine - KM OCTA, RS100NA - Electric Fabric Cutting Machine
The KM RS-100 series consists of high-performance 4-inch (100mm) octagonal rotary cutters primarily used for fabric. The differences between these models represent a progression in design and internal engineering following Hashima’s takeover of the KM brand.
RS-100 (The Baseline): The foundational KM Japan RS-100 features a 100mm 8-sided "OCTA" blade, a carbide-tipped lower blade, and an automatic re-sharpening system.
RS-100N (The "New Style"): Marketed as a "New Style" version of the original, the RS-100N refined the die-cast design for better ergonomics and light weight (2.9kg).
RS-100NA (The Major Innovation): This is the newest iteration introduced by Hashima Japan. Major changes include:
Enhanced Cooling: A redesigned motor chassis (cover) and internal air-guide system for better airflow around the rotor.
Internal Components: Significant modifications to the motor (rotor and stator) and the drive train to improve durability.
Part Compatibility: While many parts remain identical (re-labeled from "S" to "T"), specific new "A" items in the RS-100NA are not interchangeable with older RS-100/N models.
Note on Blade Type: All three models typically ship with an 8-sided (octagonal) blade for clean cuts through multiple layers (up to 25mm), though a standard round blade is often available as an optional exchange.
